Position Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Lead WordPress Plugin Developer with 5+ years of professional experience in plugin architecture and team leadership.
In this role, you will lead the entire plugin development lifecycle—from architecture planning to code review and deployment. You’ll mentor a team of senior, mid, and junior developers, collaborate with product managers and designers, and ensure all EchoaSoft products are built with performance, scalability, and modern coding standards in mind.
This is a hands-on leadership role that blends technical depth with team management, perfect for someone ready to influence product direction across multiple flagship WordPress plugins.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Architecture
- Lead the planning, architecture, and development of scalable WordPress plugins.
- Define coding standards, design patterns, and development workflows across all projects.
- Review complex code, troubleshoot high-level technical challenges, and optimize for performance and security.
- Oversee API design, Gutenberg block & Divi module architecture, and React-based integrations.
Team Management & Mentorship
- Lead and mentor a team of developers (senior, mid-level, and junior).
- Conduct regular code reviews, technical workshops, and pair programming sessions.
- Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture that values quality, learning, and innovation.
- Work closely with the Product and QA teams to ensure smooth release cycles and high product quality.
Innovation & Optimization
- Research and integrate modern development practices—CI/CD, testing frameworks, automation, and versioning workflows.
- Drive adoption of modern JS frameworks (ReactJS, ESNext) and PHP standards (OOP, Namespaces, Traits).
- Identify performance bottlenecks and implement long-term technical improvements.
- Contribute to product roadmap planning, bringing strong technical insight to product strategy.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have:
- 5+ years of professional experience in WordPress plugin development with a strong portfolio.
- Expertise in PHP OOP, Namespaces, Traits, Design Patterns, and SOLID principles.
- In-depth understanding of WordPress hooks, actions, APIs, Gutenberg, Elementor, and Divi module/block development.
- Strong JavaScript (ES6+) and ReactJS experience.
- Proficiency with Git, Composer, Webpack/Gulp, and related build tools.
- Experience with REST API integrations, custom post types, and complex plugin data structures.
- Proven experience leading or mentoring development teams.
- Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience contributing to WordPress Core or well-known open-source projects.
- Familiarity with unit testing (PHPUnit, Jest) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience integrating SaaS APIs or building plugin SaaS components.
- Knowledge of Headless WordPress and modern front-end tooling.
Job Details
- Location: Nikunja-2, Dhaka
- Job Type: Full-Time (On-Site)
- Office Hours: Sunday – Thursday (10:00 AM to 7:00 PM)
- Salary: 1,20,000 – 1,50,000 BDT per month (based on experience and expertise)
