Position Overview
We’re looking for a skilled WordPress Plugin Developer with at least 2 years of experience to join our development team. In this role, you’ll contribute to designing and building high-quality, scalable plugins while collaborating with senior developers to enhance product functionality and performance. This position offers an opportunity to grow your expertise and make a meaningful impact within EchoaSoft and the WordPress ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Plugin Development
- Design, development, and maintenance of custom WordPress plugins, ensuring performance, security, and scalability.
- Optimize plugins for speed, reliability, and user experience under the guidance of senior developers.
- Write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code following best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues reported by users or the support team, collaborating with senior developers when needed.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with senior developers, designers, support staff, and technical writers to ensure seamless product development and documentation.
- Actively participate in team discussions and contribute technical insights during project planning.
- Collaborate with peers to review code, share knowledge, and improve development processes.
Innovation & Optimization
- Stay updated with emerging WordPress trends and suggest improvements to enhance plugin functionality.
- Assist in code reviews, security audits, and performance optimizations to ensure high-quality standards.
- Contribute to testing and debugging processes, helping to maintain code stability and reliability.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have:
- 2+ years of professional experience in WordPress plugin development with a portfolio of past work.
- Strong proficiency in PHP OOP, WordPress Actions/Hooks, and API integrations.
- Experience developing Gutenberg blocks, Elementor widgets, or Divi modules.
- Solid understanding of JavaScript, with hands-on experience in ReactJS.
- Familiarity with development tools like Git, Composer, and Gulp.
- Experience working with WooCommerce, REST API integration, and custom post types.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
Nice-to-Have:
- Basic knowledge of testing frameworks like PHPUnit.
- Experience contributing to WordPress Core or open-source projects.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for plugin deployment.
Job Details
- Location: Nikunja-2, Dhaka
- Job Type: Full-Time (On-Site)
- Office Hours: Sunday – Thursday (10:00 AM to 7:00 PM)
- Salary: 40,000 – 65,000 BDT per month (based on experience and expertise)
